General Contest Rules
WYAY – True Oldies 106.7 FM
These are general rules for all contests; some contests have their own individual set of rules. In that case, rules will be posted for that particular contest and said rules will supercede these general rules.
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES FOR WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7
Contests are open to legal residents of the continental United States 18 years of age or older (unless otherwise specified), except employees of WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7, Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, their parent, affiliate, subsidiary, or successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies, contest prize suppliers, participating advertisers, sponsors, and immediate family members of anyone so employed.
Winners of all prizes associated with a contest will be required to give WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7 their legal name, present address, phone number(s) and social security number for tax record keeping purposes. Winners of all prizes will be required to sign an income tax information release (IRS 1099) stating the total value of the prize won.
LIMITATIONS: One winner per household; winners of prizes valued under $600, are not eligible to win another prize from WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7 for a period of 30 days. Winners of prizes valued at or over $600, are not eligible to win another prize from WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7 for a period of 365 days.
In the event of contests requiring telephone or fax entries, sponsors are not responsible for the inability of caller to complete the call within specified time whether due to telephone equipment malfunctions, disconnections, busy lines, or other circumstances. Only calls to the designated telephone number will be eligible to win.
In the event of contests requiring mail entries (postal or electronic), WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7 and its sponsors are not responsible for the timeliness of delivery or electronic malfunctions that may effect the delivery or content of the entry, neither are they responsible for misdirected, illegible, postage-due, or lost mail. Decision of the judges is final.
For any and all contests with text message based entry, entrants will be required, as requested through on-air announcements, to provide certain information via a text message submission to a designated telephone number. Text message entries must meet all requirements set forth in the on-air announcements in order to be eligible. Winners will be determined in accordance with the criteria set forth in the on-air announcement in which entries were solicited. Text message based entry into any contest is subject to the contest rules, Station’s standard terms and conditions and Station’s privacy policy. Unless otherwise announced, Station will not require the payment of an additional fee to enter any contest in which the means of entry is the submission of a text message. Standard text messaging rates, as established by an individual’s wireless carrier, may apply, and Station assumes no responsibility for any fees or charges incurred for and associated with any text message sent to or from Station. Any and all fees arising out of the transmission of a text message shall be the sole responsibility of the entrant.
All participants agree to be bound by these rules. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
PRIZES: Prizes are specified within individual contest rules. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitution or cash equivalent will be made. WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the awarded prize in unavailable for any reason.
CLAIMING THE PRIZE: Winners agree to come to the station to provide proof of age and identity (photo identification a must) and to execute an affidavit of eligibility, indemnification, and release within 30 days of winning. All prizes must be picked up in person from WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7, 210 Interstate North Parkway, Suite 100, Atlanta GA 30339, during business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of prize. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Winners are responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes relatives to the prize(s), plus applicable licenses, fees, insurance, registration, dealer “prep” charges, expenses, and any other incidentals.
PUBLICITY RELEASE: Participation constitutes permission for WYAY TRUE OLDIES 106.7 and Citadel Broadcasting Corporation., without any further obligation to the contest winner, to use winner's name, voice, address, and likeness for promotional purposes.
