Wonder Honored by French
Stevie Wonder was officially honored in France last week, receiving the title of Commander of the Arts and Letters.
The legendary musician was recognized in a ceremony in Paris on Saturday (March 6th), with French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand conferring the honor.
According to BBC News, Wonder was first given the award in 1981, though was never officially decorated with the medal until now because of scheduling conflicts.
"I receive this honor in memory of my mother and in memory of all of those that have made it possible for me to stand here today," Wonder said at the ceremony.
